We process the following personal data of careers website visitors:

Personal data of job applicants

If you apply for a job, then we process your personal data to facilitate the entire job application procedure on the grounds of our legitimate interests for recruiting. After the procedure, we will delete your personal data as soon as possible, unless we have informed you that we require it for other purposes. The following personal data can be processed for the job application procedure:

  • Any personal data that you provide through our job application form including, but not limited to:
  • Full name, email address, phone number, picture, cover letter, résumé, LinkedIn profile, Indeed profile and which job you have applied for.
  • Statuses, notes, and planning related to your job application
  • Email communications
  • Other information: Gender, birthday, nationality, education, resume/CV, date when available, minimum required pay, eligibility to work in the Netherlands and motivation

Under European data protection law, we are required to inform you that withholding personal data in your job application can give you a disadvantage in comparison to other candidates who are applying for the same role.

Your personal data has to be processed by LinkedIn and Indeed to allow for the ‘Apply with LinkedIn’ and ‘Apply with Indeed’ functionalities. LinkedIn and Indeed may use cookies. You can find their privacy policies on the following websites:

Privacy Policy for Candidates

This privacy policy is valid for the candidates that apply for a job at the company NavInfo Europe further referred to as ‘the Company’.

The Company needs personal data from its candidates applying for a job. Without this personal data, the Company is not able to process the job application. The Company is committed to protecting the privacy and security of personal data of its candidates. This document contains the privacy policy for candidates and is applicable for all people applying for a job at the Company.



Why and on which legal basis is personal data collected?

The Company uses your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Manage our recruitment and selection process efficiently and effectively. For this purpose, the Company maintains a list of persons that applied for jobs at the Company.

  • Fulfill vacancies within the Company.

The Company has a legitimate interest in processing personal data for these purposes.



Which personal data is collected?

As part of the recruitment process the Company collects the following personal data of job applicants.

Mandatory information:

  • Name information,

  • Contact information: Address, email address, (mobile) phone number,

  • Other information: Gender, birthday, nationality, education, resume/CV, date when available, minimum required pay, eligibility to work in the Netherlands and motivation.

Optional information:

  • Photograph.



How is personal data collected?

Directly from the candidate that is applying for the job (you).

By submitting your application, you acknowledge that the Company processes your personal data for the purposes described in this privacy policy. We are not able to handle your job application otherwise.



Use of Artificial Intelligence

The Company may use AI-based tools to support parts of the recruitment process, for example to organise application information, summarise CV content, or help recruiters prepare for interviews.

AI is only used as a support tool. It does not make decisions about your application.

The Company does not use AI to automatically reject, accept, score, or rank candidates without human involvement. All recruitment decisions are made by recruiters and hiring managers, who review the relevant information and apply their own judgment.

Where AI tools are used, they only process the personal data you provide as part of your application and only for the purposes described in this privacy policy.

Who has access to your personal information?

The following roles have access:

  • Candidate applying for the job (you),

  • HRM department employees,

  • Employees of the Company performing a job interview.

How is personal data protected?

Security of personal data is important for the Company. The Company took reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures necessary to protect your personal data in our organization. The Company is ISO/IEC 9001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO/IEC 27001 certified, and compliant with all relevant legislation, including but not limited to the GDPR/AVG and AI Act regulations.



How long is personal data stored?

The Company stores personal data as long as needed or allowed for the purpose for which the Company requires them. The Company keeps your personal data for 4 weeks after your job application has been completed. If you indicated to the Company that you want the Company to inform you about future vacancies, the Company keeps your personal data for 1 year. If you have become an employee at the Company, the privacy policy for employees becomes applicable.



Sensitive personal data and storage outside of the EU

The Company does not store any sensitive personal data. The Company does not store any of your personal data outside the European Union.



What are your rights?

If you want to:

  • pose a question or file a complaint on how the Company copes with your personal data,

  • request correction, update, removal or restriction of (the use of) your personal data,

  • request removal of all of your personal data completely,

  • request an extract of your personal data.

You can contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO). See ‘Contact information’ below. The Company will respond to your request in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Please make clear in your request which personal data you wish to have changed, whether you want to have your personal data deleted or otherwise let us know what restrictions you want to impose concerning your personal data. For your protection, we only handle requests related to the personal data associated with the email address you use to send us your request and we may need to verify your identity before we implement your request. We try to meet your request as quickly as reasonably possible.

If you have a privacy complaint and are unable to come to an agreement with the DPO of the Company, you have the right to lodge a complaint at the Dutch supervisory authority. You can do this on the following website: https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/



Rights related to AI-supported processing:

You have the right to request additional information about the use of AI in the recruitment process.

As recruitment decisions are not based solely on automated processing, Article 22 GDPR (automated individual decision-making) is not applicable.

Nevertheless, you may always contact the Company to:

• Request clarification on how your personal data was evaluated,

• Express your point of view,

• Request human review of your application.

The Company will respond to such requests in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.



Updates of privacy policy

The Company publishes this privacy policy on its website: www.navinfo.eu. The works council of the Company has reviewed and approved updates of this privacy policy before publication.
