Personal data of job applicants

If you apply for a job then we process your personal data to facilitate the entire job application procedure on the grounds of our legitimate interests for recruiting. After the procedure we will delete your personal data as soon as possible, unless we have informed you that we require it for other purposes. The following personal data can be processed for the job application procedure:

  • Any personal data that you provide through our job application form including, but not limited to:
  • Full name, email address, phone number, picture, cover letter, résumé, LinkedIn profile, Indeed profile and which job you have applied for.
  • Statuses, notes and planning related to your job application
  • Email communications
  • Other information: Gender, birthday, nationality, education, resume/CV, date when available, minimum required pay, eligibility to work in the Netherlands and motivation

 

Under European data protection law we are required to inform you that withholding personal data in your job application can give you a disadvantage in comparison to other candidates who are applying for the same role.

Privacy Policy for Candidates

This privacy policy is valid for the candidates that apply for a job at the company NavInfo Europe further referred to as ‘the Company’.

The Company needs personal data from its candidates applying for a job. Without this personal data, the Company is not able to process the job application. The Company is committed to protect the privacy and security of personal data of its candidates. This document contains the privacy policy for candidates and is applicable for all people applying for a job at the Company.

 

Why and on which legal basis is personal data collected?

The Company uses your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Manage our recruitment and selection process efficiently and effectively. For this purpose, the Company maintains a list of persons that applied for jobs at the Company.   
  • Fulfill vacancies within the Company.

The Company has a legitimate interest in processing personal data for these purposes. 

How is personal data collected?

Directly from the candidate that is applying for the job (you).

When you provide us personal data, you approve that the Company stores and processes that personal data. We are not able to handle your job application otherwise.

 

Who has access to your personal information?

The following roles have access:

  • Candidate applying for the job (you)
  • HRM department employees
  • Employees of the Company performing an interview

How is personal data protected?

Security of personal data is important for the Company. The Company took reasonable organizational, technical and administrative measures necessary to protect your personal data in our organization. The Company is ISO-27001 certified.

 

 

How long is personal data stored?

The Company stores personal data as long as needed or allowed for the purpose for which the Company requires them. The Company keeps your personal data for 1 year after your job application finished. If you indicated to the Company that you want the Company to inform you about future vacancies, the Company keeps your personal data for 3 years. If you have become an employee at the Company, the privacy policy for employees replaces this policy and becomes applicable.

 

Sensitive personal data and storage outside of the EU

The Company does not store any sensitive personal data. The Company does not store any of your personal data outside the European Union.

 

What are your rights?

If you want to:

  • pose a question or file a complaint on how the Company copes with your personal data;
  • request correction, update, removal or restriction of (the use of) your personal data;
  • request removal of all of your personal data completely;
  • request an extract of your personal data the Company has;

You can contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO). See ‘Contact information’ below. The Company will respond to your request in accordance with the applicable legislation.

Please make clear in your request which personal data you wish to have changed, whether you want to have your personal data deleted or otherwise let us know what restrictions you want to make to us using your personal data. For your protection, we only handle requests related to the personal data associated with the email address you use to send us your request and we may need to verify your identity before we implement your request. We try to meet your request as quickly as reasonably possible.
