Job description

We are looking for a Penetration Tester and Cybersecurity researcher to join the Cybersecurity team at NavInfo Europe. 

Our cybersecurity team engages in penetration testing and conducts cybersecurity research for modern connected vehicles and IoT devices like online connectivity units, infotainment units, keyless start and entry systems, mobile applications, and back-ends.

In NavInfo Europe we work on topics related to (AI-based) Anonymization, GDPR compliance and Data Curation, Cybersecurity Services and Tools and Navigation Map Data Services.


NavInfo Europe is currently entering a process of developing new and more demanding services for our customers all over the world. We have to supply our products more frequent, faster, and with consistent high quality. This development will impact the development of our markets and services and all of our main product creation processes: (software) development of our tools, production of our digital maps, and validation of tools and products.

Your responsibilities

  • Perform deep, detailed, and advanced security assessments and penetration tests
  • Perform security research involving bug hunting, exploit development
  • Participate in Connected Vehicles cyber threat intelligence studies, develop threat models, investigate attack vectors
  • Participate in cybersecurity analysis and certification projects, compliance assessment and security maturity modeling for IoT, Connected Vehicles, AI, ICS, Telecom products, and infrastructures for customers in the EU and globally
  • Interact with customers to provide excellent service via pre-engagement meetings, post-test debriefs as well as interaction during engagements
  • Create organizational knowledge about key technologies, tools, and methodologies
  • Perform research on the information security regulation of critical infrastructures, Internet of Things, Connected Vehicles
  • Write articles and present results at conferences in the EU and across the Globe

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in application and network penetration testing
  • Experience in Red Teaming
  • Experience in exploits development
  • Excellent English language communication skills
  • Experience in one of Automotive, Embedded device, IoT, ICS, Mobile Application Security is a plus


Education and Experience

  • B.Sc. in CS, CE, or equivalent work-related experience.
  • One or more of the globally recognized information security professional certifications (OSCP, CEH, or GPEN)


Nice to have

  • Postgraduate studies in relevant disciplines
  • Security research leading to bug bounty and CVE awards
  • Experience in programming languages ​​like C, Python, etc.
  • Experience in automotive-specific protocols (CAN, FlexRay, Auto Ethernet, etc.)
