Personal mission

As a Technical Project Manager, you will contribute by managing the Internal and External (Customer) projects together with the Technical Project leads of the different NIE teams working in domains like Artificial Intelligence, Data Management, Cybersecurity and AGVs. 

Your technical know-how should also become an added advantage in reviewing the Technical requirements with external/internal teams. To provide ideas for problem-solving (whenever possible), make proposals for using better tools or problem-solving techniques, to judge the accuracy of timelines provided by development teams and manage RISK well in advance.

Project management covering at least:

• Managing and creating project plans;
• Discuss / review project timelines with project leads;
• Scheduling timelines for projects;
• Estimate project budgets;
• Report project status to senior management;
• Analyzing, planning and developing scheduled projects;
• Determining and defining clear deliverables, roles, and responsibilities for project members;
• Holding regular technical team meetings to help address any questions or challenges regarding ongoing/upcoming projects.

Technical management taking care of:

• Coordination between project teams, PM and Sales;
• Help solve technical problems;
• Review or suggest technical solutions with project leads and project teams;
• Arranging resources such as computer equipment and software tools with IT team.

Skills required

• Project management: A clear understanding of the Project Management processes, strategies and methods;
• Risk management: The ability to be able to predict challenges and obstacles;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills;
• Good technical skills: basic knowledge of Linux / Unix shell scripting and handling tools in Windows OS;
• Database: good knowledge about data structures, using SQL queries, basic knowledge about any DBMS;
• Analytical, computer, math, and problem-solving skills to be able to understand and discuss the solutions proposed by technical teams;
• Communication skills: with others about project specifications, technical requirements, and deadlines;
• Communicate well with management and customers;
• Good communication and presentation skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree: in Computer Science or similar;
• Good command of Business English (and Dutch speaking is a plus), both spoken and written.
